مؤرخ و باحث اجتماعي أمريكي. ولد في 28 أيلول 1930 . مدير مركز فرناند بردويل للدراسات الاقتصادية و التاريخية و الحضارية في جامعة الدولة في نيويورك. و أستاذ العلوم الاجتماعية في جامعة بنغهامتون. من أهم مؤلفاته: النظام العالمي الحديث, أفريقيا و الاستقلال, سياسة التبادل و المبادلة, الرأسمالية التاريخية و مؤلفات عديدة أخرى.
