إن الدعوة الى الله تعالى واجبة, لما للداعيين من فضل عظيم, وثواب جزيل والمقام الكريم, كما أن الدعوة الى الله تعالى والى سبيله ودينه وطاعته وصف الأنبياء والمرسلين, به أمرهم الله وأوصاهم, وعلى ذلك اتبعهم واقتدى بهم ورثتهم من العلماء العاملين, والأولياء والصالحين, ولم يزالوا في كل زمان يدعون الناس الى سبيل الله وطاعته,بأقوالهم وأفعالهم, على غاية من التشمير والجد, ابتغاء مرضاة الله, وشفقة على عباده, ورغبة في ثوابه, واقتداء برسوله, فقد قاست الأنبياء والمرسلون وأتباعهم من أئمة الحق والهدى, من طوائف الجاهلين والمعرضين من الأذى أمراً عظيماً, فصبروا واحتسبوا, ولم يزدهم ذلك إلا حرصاً على إرشادهم وهدايتهم تأسياً برسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كما قال تعالى في كتابه العزيز( لقد كان لكم في رسول الله أسوة حسنة لمن كان يرجو الله واليوم الآخر وذكر لله كثيراً). وقد غلب الجهل واستولى على أهل هذا الزمان وذهب بهم كل مذهب, حتى صار الكثير منهم لا يعلم بالحق والدين ما هو؟ وغرقوا في الذنوب والمعاصي, فكانت الحاجة ماسة الى العلماء الذين يعلمون الناس أمور دينهم, ويعالجون أمراض المجتمع, ويضعون الدواء الناجع, وينبهون الناس على الخطر المحدق بهم, والمصير القاتم الذي ينتظر المقصرين منهم.
عبد الرحمن النعسان: ولد في قرية الصريح التابعة لحوران عام 1915. نشأ في أسرة فقيرة. ونقله أهل المعروف منذ نعومة أظافره الى معهد العلوم الشرعية للجمعية الغراء عند العلامة علي الدقر رحمه الله تعالى, ونال من معهده شهادة علمية, عين مدرساً في قرية نوى, ثم نقل الى دمشق رسمياً وعين مدرساً للغوطتين, كان متفرغاً كلياً للعلم والتعليم طوال حياته, حسن الخلق, زينه الله تعالى بالعقل الراجح والحلم والتواضع والأسلوب التربوي الرفيع.
