هذان مجلسان من أمالي الحافظ الكبير، أبو بكر أحمد بن موسى بن مردويه. وهما ضمن المجالس الثلاثمائة التي أملاها ابن مردويه، أما المجلس الأول منهما فهو غير مقيد بموضوع معين، وأما الثاني فهو في صفات الله عز وجل، ويظهر فيه اتباع الحافظ ابن مردويه لمنهج أسلافه من أئمة أهل الحديث والأثر، الذي يثبتون الصفات التي وصف الله بها نفسه، من غير تكييف، ولا تحريف، ولا تأويل، ولا تعطيل، كما يليق بجلاله وعظمته سبحانه وتعالى. ويظهر فيهما سعة رواية الحافظ ابن مردويه، عبر إيراده لغرائب الطرق، مع علو أسانيده، وأفاد فيها عدة أحكام في تعديل الرواة، وله كلام مهم في مسألة قبول زيادة الثقة، وهو نص مفصل متقدم في المسألة.
