إن لفظة التأويل يكثر دورانها في مظان النحو المختلفة ومؤلفات إعراب القرآن وغيرها. وهذا الكتاب بجزئيه يتناول هذه المسألة، أي التأويل النحوي في القرآن الكريم وذلك من خلال بحث جاء في أربعة أبواب ومدخل وخاتمة، المدخل يدور في تلك التأويل، معناه وأسبابه، وجاء الباب الأول في دور النحويين القدامى والمحدثين في التأويل النحوي وقد وقع في ثلاثة فصول وجاء الباب الثاني في مظاهر التأويل النحوي المستندة إلى الحذف وقد وقع ضمن ثلاثة فصول. وتناول الباب الثالث مظاهر التأويل فيما لا يظهر على آخره الحركات الإعرابية وقد وقع في أربعة فصول. وتضمن الباب الرابع مظاهر التأويل النحوي الأخرى وقد استغرق هذا الباب ثلاثة فصول. وأما الخاتمة فقد دوّن فيها الباحث أهم ما توصل إليه في التأويل النحوي في القرآن على ضوء النقاط التي تم تناولها من خلال أبواب وفصول بحثه الذي استغرقه هذا الكتاب.
