لم يرد ذكر هذا الكتاب في قائمة مؤلفات ابن ناصر الدين الدمشقي عند من ترجموا له إلا أن إشارة عند ابن العماد في الشذرات تقول: وله مصنفات في المعراج وفي الوفاة النبوية. وليس من شك في نسبته إلى ابن ناصر الدين فالكتاب بخطه الجميل أولاً ثم أنه قال في خاتمته: علقه مؤلفه محمد بن أبي بكر عبد الله بن محمد عفا الله عنهم.والغريب ما ذكره مفهرسو دار الكتب الظاهرية وهو مما ختم به المؤلف تهذيبه في السيرة جمع فيه بعض ما قيل في رثاء النبي عليه السلام من شعر ونثر !!!. هي نسخة فريدة نفيسة بخط المؤلف رحمه الله وتقع في ست ورقات وليس في ختامها أي سماع البتة.
