هذا الكتاب معنيٌ بالأساس بسؤال الشعرية الخالد؛ مَعْنىٌ بما يجعل من رسالةٍ ما أثراً فنياً، ومن ثم فهو لا يخترق النص إلى ما هو خارج عنه عن أبنية إلا بوصفها أبنية لغوية.
معنيٌ بقراءة شعريات قد تُرى مختلفةً تعكس مفاهيم خاصة حول الشعر وتصور الشعري في النصوص، وعندما ينشغل الباحث بوجوه الشعرية فيها؛ فإنه يسائل حينئذ معرفته النقدية نفسها؛ ومن ثم يُقاربُ سؤالُ الشعرية والجمالية من خلال تلك الشبكة التي تتوزع أطرافها على مقاربات تلك النصوص المتعددة لنرى التشابه والتقاطع كما نرى الإختلاف والتباين، لنعاين كيف لشعريات مختلفة أن تتجاور، وكيف لشعريات متجاورة أن تطرح الإختلاف والتمايز.
ودراستنا للشعرية لا تؤمن بأن قيمةً ما تُحفّزُ النص إلى أن يُصبح شعراً قابلةً - بالضرورة - للتعدية إلى غيره على الإطلاق، فجمالية القيمة لازمةٌ لها في النص، دون كل إستخدام إتفاقاً، ومن ثم انصبّ عملنا على هيئة إنتاج النص لشعريته، وهذا لا يعني نزع صفة التعدي عن القيمة الجمالية، فقط نحن ننزع عنها إطلاقها، لتدور في فلك النسبي - الذي تمتد أذرعه بين المبدع والنص والقارئ.
