عمل فكري حواري متكامل بين إبراهيم بن علي الوزير الذي هو من أعاظم مفكري هذه الأمة، وقطب من أقطاب اليمن؛ فقيه علامة مجتهد في شؤون الدين، ومن أعظم علماء ومجتهدي العصر، والمحاور الثاني هو الدكتور حسين فونس مؤرخ وهب حياته لدراسة تاريخ المسلمين وتاريخ البشر، وهو مشارك في الأدب والصحافة. وموضوع هذا الحوار هموم العالم الإسلامي، كيف لا والمتحاوران في همٍّ دائم مقيم بشأن أمة العرب والإسلام. سينقسم هذا الحوار المدار فيما بينهما إلى أربعة محاور: المحور الأول يتحدثا فيه عن أحوال المسلمين في هذا العصر الذي نعيش فيه حيث يبدأ بمقدمة عن العصر نفسه؛ يرسما آفاقه وحدوده، ثم يبحثا عن أحوال المسلمين فيه وأين مكانهم؟ وماذا قدر لهم من الحظ في ذلك العصر. المحور الثاني يتحدثا فيه عن ضعف المسلمين أسبابه في الماضي وأسبابه في الحاضر. المحور الثالث يتحدثا فيه عن المشاكل الكبرى التي تشغل المسلمين سواء في الميدان السياسي أو الميدان الحضاري. المحور الأخير يديراه على غد العالم الإسلامي وكيف يمكن من خلال تصورهما إقالة المسلمين من عثرتهم التي يتردون فيها.
