يؤسس هذا الكتاب لفكرة قيادة التدريس الإحترافي ، وهو موجه إلى جميع فئات المعلمين من مختلف الخبرات والتخصصات ، ليساهم في سدّ الفجوة بين الفكر النظري والممارسة العلمية .
لقد ارتكزت فلسفة الكتاب على تبنّي ( 16 ) إستراتيجية تدريسية ، كل ( 4 ) إستراتيجيات منها تندرج تحت مجال من المجالات الآتية : إستراتيجيات الإتقان ، إستراتيجيات الفهم ، إستراتيجيات المشاركة ، إستراتيجيات الإبداع ؛ حيث تمثل تلك الإستراتيجيات خلاصة البحث العلمي التربوي في التدريس الإحترافي ، وتكاد تغني المعلم عن كل الإستراتيجيات التي كان يعرفها مسبقاً .
وتمّ في هذا الكتاب ، تنظيم التكامل بين استراتيجيات التعليم وأنماط التعلم لدى الطلاب ، وهو تنظيم حديث يراعي مبدأ " التعلّم المتمايز " في التدريس ، إضافة إلى مراعاة معايير المحتوى المعرفي ونوعه ، والممارسات معايير المحتوى المعرفي ونوعه ، والممارسات التدريسية الفعالة ، ومهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين .
