يعرض المؤلف فلسفة رينيه حبشي التي ليس لها منهج معين، بل هي مغامرة تتميز بقانون جديد، قانون التخطي والارتقاء، والتكامل المتواصل حتى بلوغ ما هو أسمى وأعلى فالإنسان بنظره هو حقل فيه تتفاعل طاقات بشرية ثلاث: الطاقة العقلية-الطاقة الغريزية-الطاقة الإيمانية (الالتزام) وهو يدعو من خلال فلسفته هذه إلى الانخراط في هذا التيار لبناء عقيدة فلسفية يكون أصلها من التراثين المسيحي والإسلامي، وانطلاقاً من هذا التراث يمكن ومن جديد اكتشاف فلسفة شرق-أوسطية جديدة مبنية على الشخصانية الآتية من عندنا نحن، فتكون في الواقع فلسفة في مستوى الإنسان وفي مستوى تاريخنا الشرقي.
