وقدمت روايات عن الحضارات القديمة في ما بين النهرين ومصر وآشور وفينيقيا واليهود، وعن اليونان القديمة وروما القديمة وبيزنطية وأوروبا القر أوسطية، وعن أوروبا في الزمن الحديث والمعاصر. ومما له دلالته أن خلال ذلك يجري النظر بالتفصيل إلى تاريخ الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية على أنها "بؤرة للتطور المستقل للحضارة الغربية" أوجدها الأوروبيون في القارة الأمريكية ولا ينظر إلى مساهمة الشعوب السلافية في الحضارة التي يسمونها "غربية".
