هل نقرأ في (لا إله إلا الله) سوى حريتنا عندما تأمرنا أن نعبد الله الذي حررنا فنبقى أحراراً؟ وهل نقرأ في (لا إله إلا الله) سوى حريتنا عندما تنهانا عن أن نعبد غير الله لأن غير الله الذي نعبده أياً كان سوف يستعبدنا وسوف نكون عبيداً له خاصة إذا كان بشراً. هذا ما سمحنا لأنفسنا أن نستنتجه من (لا إله إلا الله) عندما قرأنا فيها أن الله حر, بل إنه الحر بإطلاق ولا يصدر عنه بالتالي إلا حرية ولا يخلق بالتالي إلا أحراراً. وإن الله لم يكن يعبث عندما فعل ما فعل, إنه كان يعلم- وعلمنا- أن الحرية أصلاً لا تكون ولا تمارس إلا بين ذوات حرة (تعالوا إلى كلمة سواء بيننا وبينكم) أليس هذا ما فعله الله- وهو الحر- عندما نتعامل مع سائر مخلوقاته ومن بينها الإنسان ككائنات حرة؟ ذلك أن الله بمقتضى (لا إله إلا الله) إذ تحرر من غيره بإطلاق فقد حرر غيره منه بإطلاق أيضاً. إن حرية الله إذ تحرر وإذ حرر هي حرية كلية مطلقة. ومن جهة أخرى فقد ذكر الله صراحة عبودية الإنسان في الآخرة وبوضوح ما بعده وضوح فهو لا يستحي من الحق, ولو أنه خلق البشر عبيداً له في الدنيا لقال ذلك. لا ثواب ولا عقاب في مناخ الإكراه, لهذا كان الموقف في علاقة الله بالناس لا إكراه, هذه هي شريعة الله فلنطبقها, إنها الحرية, إنها لا إكراه. وبهذا المعنى فإن تطبيق أية ديانة سماوية يؤدي الى الغاية التي من أجلها وجدت كل الديانات السماوية رسالات الله.
