جمعتُ في هذا الكتاب خطب الجمعة ليستفيد منها الناشئة من طلاب العلم ويكون لهم دليلاً ومعيناً على شق طريقهم كي لا يكونوا كحاطب ليل، وقد جعلتُ مقدمته في الخطابة عامة، وموضوعها، وفائدتها، وأسلوبها، وأصولها، وفي الخطيب وآدابه ولباسه وصوته وقوة ملاحظته وطلاقة لسانه، وأن يكون مطلّعاً على كثير من العلوم خاصة كلام البلغاء، وأسلوبه في الكلام ورباطة جأشه وسرعة بديهته، بالإضافة إلى لفظه الواضح، وتجنّب اللحن، وتصويره النطق بكلامه وتمهّله في إلقائه.
والكلام على أركان خطبتي الجمعة وما يُسنّ فيهما، والخطيب ومؤهلاته وسواها من أمور تتعلّق بخطباء الجمعة.
