يتوزع الكتاب على سبعة أبواب، يقدم الباب الأول مفاهيم أساسية في الإحصاءات الترتيبية، أما الباب الثاني فيهتم بتوزيعات دوال الإحصاءات الترتيبية، ويتطرق الباب الثالث إلى عزوم الإحصاءات الترتيبية، كما يهتم الفصل الرابع بالتوزيع التقريبي للإحصاء الترتيبي، كما يقدم الباب الخامس تقديرات تعتمد على الإحصاءات الترتيبية. أما الباب السادس فيتطرق إلى التقدير بفترة لمعالم بعض التوزيعات بالإعتماد على الإحصاءات الترتيبية. وأخيراً يتناول الباب السابع الإحصاءات الترتيبية لمتغيرات عشوائية مستقلة وغير متطابقة التوزيع.
