علم النحو علم نافع جليل، يحتاج إليه في كل من فنون العلم لا سيما التفسير والحديث، وقد اعتنى به العلماء تأليفاً وتدريساً وتفهيماً، ومن هؤلاء العلماء محمد بن محمد بن حسين المعروف بالحطاب الرعيني، المالكي الذي ألف في علم النحو مصنفات هامة منها "متممة الاجرومية في علم العربية" الذي عليها يدور شرح العلامة عبد الله بن أحمد علي الفاكهاني، المكي، الشافعي، جمال الدين، والذي رسمه بـ"الفواكه الجنية على متممة الآجرومية".
وقد أجاد الشارح في شرحه هذا كل الإجادات حيث ضمنه تعليق لطيف وضعه على المقدمة الموضوعة في علم العربية، قصد فيه تقرير معاني وتحرير مباني متممة الآجرومية مع فوائد جمة وزوائد مهمة في علم النحو بصورة عامة.
