يأتي ديوانُ «لحن الخلود» للصديق الشاعـر طالـب الفرّايـة يحملُ شـيئا من التوازن بين شعرٍ أُغرقَ في الرمزية والغموض الطلسميّ الذي تغيب معه العمليةُ التواصلية بين المنشـئ والمتلقي، وشعرٍ مال إلى التقريريةِ الممجوجةِ التي تغلق النص بعد ولادته تماما.
والشاعر كما يبدو في ديوانه متمسك بأصالة القالب الشعري القديم أو ما يسمى بعمود الشعر العربي ما خلا بعض قصائده ويتكئ على الرمز اتّكاء مقبولا.
يأتي ديوان «لحن الخلود» مشحونا بعواطف الشاعر الجياشة رقةً وعذوبةً تضاهي اللحنَ المنشود في شعره، لحن الحب: حب المرأة وحب المكان، حبان يتعالقان في ذهن الشاعر بوضوح، حبان قديمان جديدان باقيان، فكان اختيار العنوان «لحن الخلود» عنوانا موفقا وعتبةً صادقةً دالة على ما فيه من نصوص.
