إن هذه المحاولة - التي نقدمها اليوم للقارئ الكريم والتي أخذ صاحبها السيد الدكتور "راجع عبد الحميد سعيد الكردي" على عاتقه مهمة تأصيل موضوع المعرفة على أسس قرآنية متينة - تعد محاولةً مشكورةً في هذا الصدد، وتمثل إسهاماً لا يستهان به في سبيل تأكيد الهوية الإسلامية في أهم مجالات المعرفة الإنسانية.

وعندما حاول المؤلف الدكتور راجح كردي البحث في نظرية المعرفة القرآنية وضع في إعتباره التقسيمات المعروفة في الفلسفة الغربية الحديثة، ومن هنا كانت أبواب بحثه الثلاثة تدور حول هذه المحاور الثلاثة: إمكانية المعرفة، وطبيعة المعرفة، وطرق المعرفة أو مصادر المعرفة وأدواتها.
وكتابه هذا يعد محاولة جادة ومخلصة لإستخراج أصول نظرية المعرفة من القرآن الكريم، وقد تأسست هذه المحاولة على فهم سليم للنصوص من إستخراج الأصول القرآنية لنظرية المعرفة الإسلامية على النحو المبسوط في هذا السفر القيم.
