مما لا شك فيه أنه لا يخلو مسلم أو مسلمة من أن يكون قد عرض له في صلاته سهو أو نسيان، فلم يدر كم صلى؟ ثلاثاً صلى أم أربعاً؟ فقد يزيد في صلاته ركعة، أو ينقص من صلاته ركعة، أو أكثر، أو ينسى التشهد الأوسط فيقوم إلى الثالثة، وهناك صور كثيرة من السهو والنسيان التي تعرض للمصلي، والتي أصلها من الشيطان الذي يعرض للعبد في صلاته فيقول له: اذكر كذا، اذكر كذا، لما لم يكن يذكر، فيظل الإنسان لا يدري كم صلى، كم صحّ ذلك عن نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم.
بل وقد وقع السهو في الصلاة بالزيادة والنقص في صلاة نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم، وما ذلك إلا رحمة من الله عز وجل، وإتماماً لنعمته سبحانه بهذا الدين القويم الذي هو للبشر الذين يتعرضون للنسيان والسهو والخطأ وغير ذلك مما يليق بالبشر، فجاء شرع ربنا تبارك وتعالى كاملاً تاماً ليس فيه نقص وليس فيه خرق، بل كما قال تعالى: "اليوم أكملت لكن دينكم وأتممت عليكم نعمتي ورضيت لكم الإسلام دينا".
فعلم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أمته كيف يفعلون إذا عرض لهم سهو أو نسيان في صلاتهم أو زيادة أو نقص. وأما كيف هذا؟ فهذا ما ستعرفه مع هذه الرسالة القيمة، التي بين يديم والتي جاءت حول موضوع سجود السهو وكيفية التعامل معه، وصور السهو والنسيان المختلفة وكيفية خبرها وتصحيحها، وما يبطل الصلاة منها وما لا يبطله..
وهذه الرسالة عبارة عن جزء من متن (زاد المستقنع في اختصار المقنع) للعلامة شرف الدين أبي النجا موسى بن أحمد الحجاوي. وقد تولى العلامة بن صالح العثيمين شرح المتن وبيان مقاصد صاحبه فيه في كتاب سماه (الشرح الممتع على زاد المستقنع) وجاء كاسمه بفضل الله تعالى، فقد تناوله بأسلوبه المميز السهل.
وبين يدينا تحقيق لمتن هذه الرسالة، حيث اعتنى المحقق بتقسيم عمله إلى أربعة فصول هي الفصل الأول: ويشمل التمهيد. الفصل الثاني: ويشمل صلاة الجماعة وتوابعها. الفصل الثالث: ويشمل كتاب سجود السهو للإمام الشوكاني رحمه الله تعالى. الفصل الرابع: ويشمل نص رسالة (سجود السهو). وكان تركيزه في ذلك على كتابي نيل الأوطار للإمام الشوكاني رحمه الله تعالى، وفقه السنة للعلامة سيد سابق رحمه الله تعالى.
