قد يتساءل البعض لماذا كتاب "نحو طريق ثالث في الاقتصاد"؟
وقد يتساءل البعض ويقول، ما هي الفائدة التي رجتها مؤسستكم من نشر هذا الكتاب؟ الجواب هو تعريف القارىء العربي بواقع النظامين العالميين اللذان يسودان العامل منذ ثورة أكتوبر لعام 1917، وحيث أن الاختيار بين الشيوعية والرأسمالية ليس اختياراً ديمقراطياً وإنما هو عمل تكتاتوري فرضته سياسة الوفاق الدولي على إرادة الشعوب. ولقد اخترنا "نحو طريق ثالث في الاقتصاد" حيث أن مؤلفه، توتاشيك، بعد أن عايش النظرتين العالمتين معاً ومارس النظرية الشيوعية وطبقها كوزير للاقتصاد في تشيكوسلوفاكيا، يرى أن الشيوعية مثلها كمثل الرأسمالية لم يؤمن ولا يمكنها أن تؤمن السعادة للناس. فهو في كتابه "نحو طريق ثالث في الاقتصاد" قد وضع نفسه في موقع الناقد المجرد للنظريتين، ولذلك فنصف كلامه الموجه إلى الليبرالية قد أعجب أصحاب النظرية الشيوعية والنصف الثاني المتعلق بالشيوعية قد أعجب أصحاب النظام الرأسمالي، في حين أنه أراد من وراء كتابه أن يقول الحقيقة كما رآها وكما عايشها، فهو، نظر إلى الواقع بالعينين معاً.
إننا وإن كنا قد رغبنا، وها نحن نوصل أفكار أوتا شيك غلى القارىء العربي، فلا نحب أن نوصف بأتباع أوتا شيك، ونحن وإن كنا نلتقي معه في بعض ما كتبه في النظريتين إلا أننا نختلف معه في أمور كثيرة، وحتى أنه هو نفسه يعتبر أن ما يطرحه من حلول هو مجرد أفكار يعرضها كخطوط عامة لنظرية جديدة.
