"نساء شرقيات" قصائد درامية تحضر فيها مفردات التجربة الشعورية، الخاصة بالنساء الشرقيات من حب وفقد وألم وإنتظار، استطاعت الشاعرة سوسن الرماح رصدها وتأشيرها لتدخل في صميم الموضوعة الرئيسية في النص، وهي أشكال من العلاقة الأزلية بين المرأة والرجل، وقد تمظهرت عبر أبعاد دلالية تتحرك بشكل عام وشمولي غير محدد الهوية الزمنية بين الحاضر أو الماضي...
تحت عنوان "على أبواب العشق": تقول الشاعرة: "لم انتظرك لأني... اعتذرت الإنتظار... لم أحدثك لأنك تكرهُ... الإيجازَ... ولأني أخشى... الإبحارَ... سأحبكَ كأني... لم أُحبَّ قبلك... وأسافر بك حيث أشاءُ... فإني بارعةٌ في إحتضان.. الوجع منذ زمنٍ... أفتشُ عنك أنتَ... كيْ أجدكَ أنت... وأجملُ ما في الصمتِ... خنجرٌ يذبحُ... سراً صغيراً... للنجوم سأبوحُ... أني يوماً هبطت بدربي... واكتشفتُ قارةً... جديدةً إسمها أنتَ".
ولأن ما تقوله الكتابة يخفي قولاً آخر غير الذي يريده الشاعر فعلاً، لا بد من قراءة بعض العبارات الدالة والموحية التي قدمت لها الشاعرة في عتبة تصدير الديوان تحت عنوان "قلب لا يموت" ومما جاء فيها: "من منا لم يسلبه الزمان حبيباً دون شفقة أو رحمة دون إكتراث لما سيتصدع في حياتنا من أحلام ومشاعر وآمال.
ولأن ما تقوله الكتابة يخفي قولاً آخر غير الذي يريده الشاعر فعلاً، لا بد من قراءة بعض العبارات الدالة والموحية التي قدمت لها الشاعرة في عتبة تصدير الديوان تحت عنوان "قلب لا يموت" ومما جاء فيها: "من منا لم يسلبه الزمان حبيباً دون شفقة أو رحمة دون إكتراث لما سيتصدع في حياتنا من أحلام ومشاعر وآمال إنّ من قادني إلى كتابة هذه الخاطرة زائرة بل مغتربة بكل شيء، حتى بمشاعرها، سلبِّها الأيام كل ما هو جميل، راقٍ ورائع وكلّ ما كان يبعث لها الفرح والحياة...".
هذا التقديم يدخل ضمن لعبة لا شعورية خفية لا يدركها القارئ إلا بالدخول إلى أسرار النص وإكتناه معناه، ولكن بدلالته الروحية والأنثوية الخاصة بالشاعرة / المرأة.
يضم الكتاب قصائد وخواطر جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "أبواب الحب"، "مرور الحياة"، "الحب والخبز"، "رقصة"، "لحن الأطفال"، "إلى أين"، "حافية القدمين"، "أنا الدهر"... وعناوين أخرى.
