لم تحظ سيرة إنسان على وجه الأرض بما حظيت به سيرة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، حيث ألفت فيها كثير من الكتب التي تناولت سيرته العطرة وآدابه في كافة مناحي الحياة، ومن تلك الكتب هذا الكتاب الذي تناول بشكل مبسط سهل حياة الرسول الكريم منذ ولادته إلى أن توفاه الله آخذاً بعين الاعتبار الظروف الاجتماعية والسياسية التي كانت عليها جزيرة العرب آنذاك. كما تطرق التاب إلى علامات النبوة التي بدأت تظهر على الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وما لاقاه من عنت واضطهاد من كفار قريش، ثم انتشار الدعوة بعدها وما آل إليه حال المسلمين وهجرتهم من مكة إلى المدينة ولحاق المصطفى بهم فيما بعد ودور تلك الهجرة في بناء الدولة الإسلامية، ثم تناول الكتاب غزوات الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وفتوحاته وأخلاقه ليقدم فيما بعد استخلاصاً للعبر والعظات المأخوذة من سيرته.
