إذا كانت الكتابة الشعرية اجتراحاً لشفرات الخطاب اللغوي وتدوينه وأسطرة سيرة الشخصي الواقعي، فإن الكتابة عند منيرة عبد العزيز هي الإمساك بلحظة الشعر الغائبة ضمن معادلة الحضور والغياب أو الحلم واللحظة، إن اللحظة الشعرية عند شاعرتنا حرجة، تبدأ من العنوان "معزوفته"، فالعنوان هو العتبة حسب تعبير (مارتن هيدجر)، والبنية عند الشاعرة تتألف من حملة شفرات لغوية ذات دلالات شعرية قائمة على التنويع والثراء في المضامين وخلق جدلية شعرية جديدة في المركب الشعري وستنفار حركة الفعل داخل فضاء النص. "لأن الكتابة تجعل من الحياة أخفّ/وقابلة للعيش/أهداني عدة أصابع ورحل/وها أنا أكتبه بها متى ما اشتقت../على هيئة موسيقى تتشكل لتكون معزوفةً له".
بهذا الاستهلال تبدأ الشاعرة طقوسها الشعرية، وتنجح في التغلغل غلى نفسية المرأة وأفكارها في حالات مختلفة (الحب، الفراق، الرحيل، الغيرة) عبر صور شعريةن واستعارات جميلة، وكنايات معبّرة، فما يحصل في النص يوازي ما يحصل في الحياة، وهو ما يجعل الكتابة، أحد أهم وجوه التعبير عن الكائن الحي رجلاً كان أم امرأة.
تحت عنوان: وحينما نخيب.. نخذل... نقرأ: لا ننسى، نتغاضى/لا نبكي، نتظاهر بأن لا شيء حدث كي لا يكونوا خيبة بداخلنا/فيقل حبهم/نغفر لهم ونظل نحبهم/فالحب أقوى من الحزن، وهم أهم من هذا كله (...)".
يضم الكتاب عشرون نصاً نثرياً جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "ولأنه الرحيل لا أحد يكترث بك!"، "ولنا في الغياب أمل"، "وحينما نخيب... نخذل"، "أشتاق!"، "ولنا في البكاء حياة"، "للحب الآخر.. الصداقة" (...) ونصوص أخرى.
