حيث هبط المساء... وجد الصبي نفسه مندفعاً من البيت إلى الشارع. يحمل في يده مصيدة سوداء وحصى يريد اقتناص كل ما يجده أمامه؛ كان نور المصابيح يغسل الظلام وكان الكلّ يبصر طريقه رغم هبوط الليل؛ وفجأة خطرت له فكرة أن يرمي أحد المصابيح البيضاء المتألقة بالحجر الذي بين يديه. كانت الحصاة تفلت عندما تيبست يده وقف جامداً... ذلك أنه سمع صوتاً يعرفه يقول: "لا وقت لدي الآن.. سأدرس في الليل تحت هذا المصباح..". من هو صاحب هذا الصوت؟ ولماذا امتنع الصبي عن كسر المصباح الأبيض؟
