كنت كثيراً ما أضيق ذرعاً بانغماس أبنائي وإخواني من الفتيان والفتيات في مماحكات وهمية، أو حكايات جانبية، تستنزف وقتهم، وتأكل جهدهم، ولا تزيدهم من الخير إلا بعداً، على أنها تضري بينهم العداوة والبغضاء، وتصدهم عن ذكر الله، وعن الصلاة.
وكنت أرى أن أعظم ما يزجر عن ذلك هو غمسهم في معالي المسائل وأصولها وكبارها، التي لا يملكون التقليل من شأنها، ولا الغض من قدرها، وكان موضوع الألوهية رأس هذه الموضوعات وأسها.
ثم وجدت ان طرق هذا الباب ليس علاجاً فحسب لبوادر ضارة من شرود الفكر وانغلاقه وتعصبه، بل هو علاج لكل سلبيات الفكر وطموحه وغروره وتضخمه واندفاعه، أو تطرفه وتزمنه وضلاله.
بل وجدت ذلك علاجاً لكل مشكلات الحياة وهمومها وغمومها وصعابها ومتاعبها وعقباتها النفسية والصحية والوظيفية والزوجية والدراسية والإجتماعية والسياسية والإقتصادية وسواها.
وبدأت في تقديم حلقات إعلامية تحت هذا العنوان "مع الله" بثت في عدد من القنوات. فوجدت الهمة بعد ذلك مواتية للرجوع إلى المادة من جديد، وصياغتها، وإضافة ما غزب عن الذهن إليها، والإنتفاع بمراجع سابقة تناولت الحديث عنها من هذا الجانب أو ذاك، حتى اكتمل الكتاب على هذه الصورة.
