في مجموعته الشعرية "مسرح العاري" بدا الشاعر عبيدة الإبراهيم وكأنه ينوء بحمل ثقيل، وكأي إنسان مسكون بوطنه، فقد عكس الشاعر هموم الناس، ونقل آلامهم، بصور شعرية، وبإيقاعات وجدانية عارمة. فقصائده تعيش مكانها وزمانها، وتتفاعل حروفها في جوف النص، لتعزف لحن الحياة. يقول الشاعر: "حرفاً من دمي / من خمرِ الجرار المعتّقِ / بظلم الأيام العابرات / فوق الحلم المستحيل / تشعل أوردتي / بقهر الحياة / بنحب الكلمات القابعات وراء الإرتجاف ..." وهكذا في بقية قصائد الديوان نزوع نحو استدعاء لغة الحواس عبر ثيمات صور متلاحقة، ترشح عن مستويات أدائية تعبيرية امتاز بها الشاعر كإنسان يبحث عن نقاء الموقف في زمن الفوضى "عسراوية ترسمُ بيديها / أقدام النهار / وتلون أقدامي بلونٍ / تبرعم من دمي .. / فصار أرجوانياً / برائحة الدمار! / وتغمرني بصمت الضجيج ، / بلغات المتشردين / على أبواب المقابر / على دارِ من ليست لهمُ / هذه الديار!".
يضم الكتاب ستة عشر قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها: "صراخُ الغجري" ، "خوف البرد" ، "شرودُ الكأس" ، "حنينُ القصائد" ، "قاع الروح" ... الخ.
