قدر من السخرية لا يمكن إغفاله في جديد الكاتب محمد الراشدي (نكْز) يذكرنا بقول ميلان كونديرا "ليس من رواية تستحق اسمها يمكن لها أن تأخذ العالم على محمل الجد"، وإن كان هذا الكتاب ليس برواية من صنع الكاتب، فإنه بلا شك روايات عن الناس، طبائعهم، سلوكاتهم، أفكارهم، ومعاشهم، يأخذ خلاله الكاتب قارئه إلى روائع التراث العربي القديم، في سردياته، ومقاماته، الأمر الذي يجعل من هذا العمل تحفة أدبية، لا يمكن أن تنتمي إلى جنس أدبي بعينه، إنه أهم من ذلك بكثير.
قدم للكتاب بمقدمة الدكتور عبد الله الغذامي ومما جاء فيها: "ما قررت كتابة هذه المقدمة لهذا الكتاب إلا ليقيني أن كل قارئ للكتاب سيقع له ما وقعت فيه، خطوة خطوة، أولها أن المدخل الساجع للنص صدمني، لكني قلت لنفسي: دعني أصبر قبل أن أضع الكتاب جانباً، وليتني ما صبرت لكنه تركته بعذر بيني وبين نفسي، أما وقد مضيت فقد وقعت في مخاتلة نصوصية في مداهمات متصلة بين ضحك لم أسيطر على نفسي معه، وبجانبه غضب من بعض العبارات، واختلطت علي المتعة الوجدانية التلقائية مع الغضب المعقلن ضد بعض الترميزات والإحالات التي سيقول الناقد من داخلي إنها نسقية تحتال لنفسها عبر قناع النكتة واللفظة التجارية...".
يتألف الكتاب من خمسة أقسام جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: 1-رسائل، 2-مقامات - منامات، 3-الوصايا في عشق الصبايا، 4-قالت العرب، 5-حديث ركب... أشتات وذكريات... وأخيراً شهادات في الكاتب محمد الراشدي والكتاب.
