كما ينتظر من المشاركين أيضاً أن يعرضوا انطباعاتهم وما خبروه أثناء اللقاء في مقالة ختامية أو عبر نص من أي نوع أدبي آخر. الزميل اللبناني، صديقي رشيد الضعيف، تملص من هذه المهمة بكتابته لهذا التقرير الذي بين أيدينا، والذي لم يكن موضوعه الكاتب الذي لا يعرف عن عمله الأدبي سوى القليل بسبب شحه الترجمات المطولة إلى إحدى اللغات التي يعرفها، بل شخصي أنا، وحياتي الخاصة هي ما أثار اهتمامه منذ البداية بشكل ملحوظ. وكان له أن يطلع عليها عبر أسئلة محددة وجهها لي وأجبته عليها بصراحة من جهة، وعبر مصادفة معايشته لي من جهة أخرى.
نقدم هنا ترجمة لتعليقات الكاتب الألماني يواخيم هلفر على كتاب عودة الألماني إلى رشده للكاتب اللبناني رشيد الضعيف. وقد صدرت هذه التعليقات باللغة الألمانية في كتاب تحت عنوان لوطنة العالم عام 2006. وضم الكتاب المذكور ترجمة كتاب رشيد الضعيف، بالإضافة إلى تعليقات هلفر المقطع المنشورة هنا.
