وفي هذا الكتاب يسرد المؤلف ما يعتقد به الشعب اللبناني من خرافات ومعتقدات شعبية دون أن يتدخل في الحكم على صحة هذا المعتقد أو ذاك، بل هو ترك للقارئ مهمة الحكم والتقرير. وسيلاحظ القارئ أن بعض هذه المعتقدات استمدت جذورها من الدين سواء الدين الإسلامي، أم الدين المسيحي، أم الدين اليهودي، مما يجعل الحكم على بعضها بالصحة أو بأنه وهم وخرافة فيه الكثير من الحذر والمجازفة.
