تعمل مجلة الثقافة النفسية المتخصصة على تقديم أفضل مستوى ممكن من الإحاطة بمستجدات الاختصاص في كافة فروع العلوم النفسية محاولة بذلك الاستجابة لحاجات المتخصصين والمهتمين خصوصاً بعد تداخل تطبيقات الاختصاص مع مختلف فروع العلوم الإنسانية. وذلك من خلال إطلاع القارئ على اتجاهات البحوث العالمية وتعريفه بأخبار ومستجدات هذه البحوث وعبر بعض الترجمات المفيدة. أما بالنسبة للبحوث العربية فإن المجلة تسعى لتقديم كافة الدراسات والبحوث الرصينة والمسايرة للمستجدات وللحاجات الفعلية لمجتمعنا العربي.
والعدد الذي بين أيدينا من المجلة هو الثاني والخمسون وهو صادر في تشرين الأول/أكتوبر عام 2002، ويناقش موضوعاً أساسياً هو موضوع استخدام المعلوماتية في مجال العلوم النفسية في البلاد العربية، حيث اللغة المشتركة تؤمن تضافر الجهود المعلوماتية في هذه البلاد. كما ويناقش العدد موضوعات أخرى لا تقل أهمية عن موضوع العدد، وهذه الموضوعات تتراوح ما بين السياسية، وعلم النفس، العلوم الإنسانية، هذا إلى جانب عرضه لمضمون المقابلة التي أجراها الدكتور التركي مع الدكتور نبيل علي ودار النقاش فيها حول الفكر الثقافي العربي، الثقافة وثورة المعلومات.
كما ويتضمن العدد ملخصاً للمعجم المعلوماتي للعلوم النفسية، هذا إلى جانب قراءة نقدية لكتاب "العودة إلى الانحراف في ضوء العوامل الاجتماعية للدكتور صالح بن محمد العمري ومن أبرز عناوين هذا العدد نذكر: برمجة مقياس التدافق النفسي، الإنترنت والطبيب النفسي، نقاط لتحول في الحياة، الديمقراطية بين شارون والانتفاضة، العلوم المعرفية الجديدة وتطوير العلوم الإنسانية...
