من إعداد وترجمة وتعليق د. حمد العيسى صدر كتاب: «الأزهر والسياسة: 1952-2002». والكتاب من تأليف البروفيسور التونسية مليكة الزغل وآخرين. يتكون الكتاب من 9 دراسات وعدة ملاحق.
ويقع الكتاب في 672 صفحة من الحجم الكبير، وصدر على شكل مجلد وحمل غلاف الكتاب الوصف التالي: «يحتوي على وثائق صحافية نادرة جداً». وتجاوز د. العيسى أثناء ترجمة هذا الكتاب سقف 1.5 مليون (مليون ونصف مليون) كلمة مترجمة من الإنكليزية إلى العربية منذ بداية عمله في مجال الترجمة عام 2005.
