يضم هذا الكتاب بين طياته دراسة تناولت سيرة المجاهد محمد بن أبي بكر رضوان الله عليه، هذا الرجل الذي لعب دوراً هاماً وبارزاً في توجيه حركة التاريخ الإسلامي من خلال المهام العظيمة التي وكلت إليه من قبل الحاكم الإسلامي الشرعي آنذاك، فقد عاصر رضوان الله عليه الإسلام عهد الإمامة والخلافة وحدد موقفه الفكري والسياسي والعسكري على الرغم من التكتلات الهائلة التي أحاطت به وجاهدت بكل ما تملك من قوة في سبيل إبعاده عن طريق الإسلام السليم والمذهب الحق.
وجدير بنا أن نشير إلى أن هذه الدراسة لم تكن نقطة بداية لهذا الموضوع بل هناك دراسات عددية أشارت إليه. وأما المنهج الذي اتبعه في كتابة هذا البحث فينحصر في ثلاثة فصول عرض فيها أهم الخطوط التي كشفت ويف الغاصبين، وكل فصل دار على محورين، أما الفصل الأول: فقد تطرق للحديث فيه عن حياة المجاهد محمد بن أبي بكر رضوان الله عليه وولادته ومنزلته وفضله، وأما الفصل الثاني: فقد تضمن وقوف محمد بن أبي بكر من عثمان وموقف الآخر من الصحابة المنتحبين أمثال أبي ذر الغفاري وابن مسعود وعمار بن ياسر رضي الله عنهم. وأما الفصل الأخير فقد تناول موقف محمد بن أبي بكر رضي الله عنه الفكري والسياسي والعسكري السليم والحكيم بانضمامه تحت راية الإمام الشرعي، كما وتعرض إلى مقتله واستشهاده الذي أصاب قلب الإمام علي عليه السلام بسهام الحزن والأسى.
