في روايته "يوميات مجهول" يتحرك "ناصر فلوس" بين حيزي الحياة والرواية راصداً نقاط التقاطع والإفتراق والتواطؤ بين الحيزين، ويفعل ذلك الروائي من خلال رصد حياة شاب يمني من الطبقة الفقيرة يبلغ من العمر اثنين وعشرين عاماً يدعى "حسن قفش" يسكن إحدى قرى محافظة (تعز) جنوب اليمن ويعمل حمّال أمتعة في أكبر وأفخم فنادق تعز المدينة، بمرتب لا يكفي متطلبات الحياة. وإزاء هذا الواقع وفي سعي للخلاص من الفاقة والفقر يبدأ الشاب بالتفكير في فرصة عمل عند الجارة المحاذية للبلاد "السعودية". ومن هنا تبدأ أحداث الرواية.
عن روايته هذه يقول ناصر فلوس في التمهيد الذي يسبق العمل: "تكشف رواية في ظلال العتمة – يوميات مجهول) تفاصيل تسلل شاب عشريني في يوميات متتالية من بلده خلف حدودنا الجنوبية بسبب الفقر والحاجة وبحثاً عن مستقبل أفضل ودخل مالي جيد، وتعرج على ظاهرة التسلل التي كانت سبباً في نشوء الحرب مع الحوثيين مؤخراً. وتسلط اليوميات على بعض الأسرار الغرائبية من جهة والمثيرة من جهة أخرى التي يتم الجهر بها لأول مرة".
وبعد، من "يوميات مجهول"، أطل ناصر فلوس على قضايا ملحة، ساخنة، تلامس هموم المو اطن العادي في المجتمعات النامية. وقد فعل ذلك بمهارة واضحة، وظف فيها خبراته الجمالية والفنية، فجاء نصه فريداً جريئاً في موضوعه وحكايته وخطابه.
