في روايتها "يغير حُبكِ طقس المدينة" ترسم الروائية عائشة الظاهري مدارات إغتراب مميزة في إختياراتها السردية، ونوعية في تشكيلها للصور، وإستبطانها دلالات فنية تتيح إمكانيات هائلة في التراسل مع موضوعات الرحيل والغربة والتيه.
يتمظهر هذا الكلام أكثر في مشاعر جميلة تتبلور كلما تقدمنا في قراءة الرواية تعبر عنها الروائية عبر الشخصيتين الرئيسيتين في العمل وهما "خالد" الذي يقف على حافة الذاكرة مستذكراً وطنه (فلسطين)، وعبير التي ستكون الملاذ الآمن لغربة جمعتهما، ولتولد قصة حبهما خارج حدود الوطن.
في الرواية، يغادر خالداً وطنه فلسطين على إثر القصف الإسرائيلي لغزة ويافا في العام 2008، حيث يستشهد أخاه الصغير، ويذهب هو للدراسة في الخارج، وهناك يلتقي بحب حياته "عبير"، ويبدأ معها حياة أخرى، ولتكون هي - عبير - سبباً في لم شمل عائله من جديد.
من أجواء الرواية نقرأ: "أغمضت عيني بعد أن أخلدت بشار للنوم وسافر عقلي للماضي، للأغنية التي جمعتنا، للحظة التي لمحته فيها متوجهاً نحوي، للغربة التي خلقت تلك الصدفة لنغني معاً، لنجتمع بين عائلة قد تفرقت منذ زمن بعيد، للقدر الذي جعلني اليوم زوجته وأماً لإبنه، ممتنة لكل ما جعلني معه اليوم، ممتنة لكل ما خلق في قلبي الفرح، ممتنة لكل من أعانني إلى كتابة القليل عنه والذي لن يوفهِ حقه أبداً...".
