انطلاقاً من خبرته في مجال العمل الرعوي المسيحي يقدم الأب الدكتور "انطوان راجح" للقارئ كتابه الجديد هذا "جهل طبيعة الزواج" مسلطاً الأضواء أيضاً على الإكراه والخسوف الشديد والشرط" وهي عوامل تبطل الزواج المسيحي. لا يشرح الكاتب هذه العوامل، كما فعل في كتبه السابقة، لكي يشجع المتزوجين على فسخ زواجهم، وإنما لكي يتعاطى المتزوجون مع زواجهم بوعي ومسؤولية ويزيلوا من حياتهم اليومية كل تردد وشك وقلق، ويصدموا على القيم التي وحدها تنقذ الحياة الزوجية.
وبالفعل فإن الكاتب يبدأ كتابه بعرض النظرة الرعوية للزواج، ويتحدث عن الشركة العميقة في الحب والحياة التي يؤلفها الزوجان. ويتابع جولته الدعوية ليتحدث عن الانذهال الشديد أمام عظمة الخالق، الذي زرع في الإنسان القدرة على عطاء الذات وقبول الآخر في وحدة العهد المتبادل والمتنامي في الحب والعطاء.
ولا يتأخر عن الدخول في تحديد ذلك الفعل الإنساني القائم على الوعي والحرية الشخصية. ثم يبلور شروط صحة هذا الفعل الإنساني، موضحاً العيوب التي تشوب العقل، كما وتلك التي تشوب الإرادة، ليتوقف بعد ذلك عند العيوب المذكورة، عنوان بحثه. بناء عليه فإن قارئ هذا الكتاب يلاحظ، ولا شك، أن القانون الجديد، الذي يسترشد توجيهات المجمع الفاتيكاني الثاني وتعاليمه يطبق بنوع خاص، مبادئ، وضعت خصيصاً لاعتمادها والارتكاز عليها في عملية مراجعة القوانين الكنسية كلها.
