زكريا بن محمد الأنصاري هو أحد أركان الطريقتين: الفقه والتصوف، وقد تفرد في زمانه بعلو الأسناد. واشتهر عنه باعه الطويل في الإفتاء على المذهب الشافعي وأنه أحد المفتى بقولهم من متأخري السادة الشافعية. وكان له مجموعة من الفتاوى أجاب من خلالها على مسائل السائلين في أمور دينهم ودنياهم. وقد تناثرت تلك الفتاوى في بطون الكتب، وتم جمعها في هذا الكتاب الذي رتبت فهي المسائل ضمن أبواب وكتب الفقه المعتمدة فكان كتاب الكهارة والكتاب أحكام الصلاة وكتاب أحكام الزكاة، وو... وقد عمد المحقق إلى نقل تلك الفتاوى بعباراتها كما جاءت في الأصل، إلا ما كان فيها واضح التصحيف أو التحريف. فجاء بها مصحة مع الإشارة إلى موضع التصحيف والتصحيح.
