في هذا الكتاب حاولت أن ألقى الضوء على فلسفة النظام الاقتصادي الإسلامي، وأهدافه وخصائصه، وأنظمته الفرعية، كما قدمت محاولتي المتواضعة لبناء نظرية اقتصادية من منظور إسلامي من خلال تحليل عميق لظواهر اقتصادية في إطار تحليلي مستمد من الشريعة الإسلامية، نصوصها ومقاصدها، واقترحت، واستخدمت، بدائل وأدوات تحليلية لا تتعارض مع هذه النصوص والمقاصد. وأخيراً فقد فصلت في كتابين آخرين جانباً من أهم ما أجملت في هذا الكتاب وهما: "السياسة النقدية ونظرية النقود في الاقتصاد الإسلامي" و "أصول المصرفية والأسواق المالية الإسلامية".
وبعد فهذه رؤيتي للاقتصاد الإسلامي وهي رؤية بشرية تحسب على الكتاب وليس الإسلام، فما كان بها من صواب فبحفظ من الله وعونه، وما كان بها من مجانبة أنني اجتهدت وحاولت مخلصا ومتمنياً للبشرية الاهتداء بنور الإسلام: "ومن لم يجعل الله له نوراً ما له من نور" [النور:40].
