-لعل أهم وأخطر ما في هذا الكتاب هو فصله الأول، "الربيع العربي" بين مطرقة الأعداء وسندان المثقفين: الموضوع الذي أقض مضجعي أشهراً عديدة، ليس في كتابته وصياغته، وإنما فيما أسمعه من قبل وقالٍ جارح وحارقٍ في إنتفاضاتنا العربية المجيدة، التي فرضت نفسها فرضاً على العالم أجمع، وترددت أصداء هتافاتها وآمالها العظيمة في كثير من أرجائه، فنالت عنده شرف وصفها "بالربيع العربي" الذي تعطّرت بنفح أزهاره أجواؤنا العربية، بل وغيرها من البلدان العالمية، وما حركة "احتلوا وول ستريت" (شارع المال والبورصة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية) (Occupy Wall Street) التي دعت إلى إحتلاله في 15 أكتوبر 2011، ودعت بعدئذ إلى عولمة المظاهرات لتصبح حدثاً عالمياً استهدف جميع مدن وبلدان الأرض، مما أدى إلى خروج المظاهرات في أكثر من 1.500 مدينة في 25 دولة، وتحولت المظاهرات إلى إشتباكات عنيفة في العاصمة الإيطالية روما؛ أقول ما تلك الحركة الجماهيرية العالمية العارمة إلا صدى لأحداث الربيع العربي؛ مثّلت إرتدادات الزلزال العظيم الذي هز العروش العربية من المحيط إلى الخليج.
-القضية ليست في "كيف نموت"، فلم يكن الموت في يوم من الأيام غايةً أو هدفاً لأي مناضل أو قضية، كما أنه ما أسهل أن نموت، وما أبهج وأسعد ذلك للعدو، ولكن القضية هي في "كيف نعيش العيش الكريم" و "كيف نصنع الحياة الحرة".
-لقد هزمتنا إسرائيل في ساحات العلم والعقل والتفكير، قبل أن تهزمنا في ساحات الوغى والحروب؛ وعليه كان لزاماً علينا أن نبدأ الصراع من هناك، من تلك المجالات التي جاءتنا منها الهزيمة والإنكسار.
