تحكي الرواية بأسلوب سينمائي يعتمد على كتابة السيناريو وتقطيع النقطة المشهدية عن مصائر ثلاثة أشخاص رئيسيين، إسماعيل وحكيم وأمل يبحثون عن خلاص الرحيل، يجده إسماعيل في الهجرة للهروب من وضعه الملتبس، وحكيم في الهروب إلى متاهات مظلمة واختيار الرحيل النهائي عن عالمنا بوضع حد لحياته، بينما تلقاه الأنثى أمل في الخلاص في حضن رجل، سفر ممتع في عوالم وفضاءات طنجة وليلها الأسر ورحاب الجامعة المغربية، وتجارب لطلبة جامعيين في زمن يمتد من بداية الألفية الجديدة جمعتهم دروب الحياة وفضاءات المدينة والجامعة وفرقتهم السبل والمصائر بحثاً عن خلاص الرحيل.
