تبرز حقيقة ناصعة هي أن الأفكار القيمة للقرآن الكريم استطاعت أن تغيّر من أفكار الشعراء التي تلبّدت بالمفاهيم الجاهلية والنعرات العصبية القبلية التي كانت سائدة آنذاك وكان الشاعر يجند مواهبه في سبيلها إذ اتخذته القبيلة صوتاً إعلامياً وبوقاً دعائياً لمفاخرها ولكن الإسلام بصيحته المدوية وأفكار القرآن المقدسة استطاعت أن تهذب النزعة الإقليمية الضيقة عند الشعراء وتجعلها مشرعة مواهبها للأمة الإسلامية مجرة في شواطئ الدعوة السماوية الخالدة.
وفي هذا الإطار جاء هذا الكتاب الذي أبرز فيه الباحث نماذج جمعها من كل الشعراء، وكل العصور، فجمع من صدر الإسلام والعصرين الأموي والعباسي والعصور المتأخرة ومن العصر الحديث. ولإبراز مادة كتابة عني الباحث بتقسيم موضوعات مؤلفة إلى مقدمة تمهيدية وستة فصول عالج فيها: أولاً صفات القرآن الكريم وأسماء سورة في رحاب الشعر، ثانياً: الاقتباس والتضمين من القرآن الكريم، ثالثاً تأثر الشعراء بالقصص القرآنية. رابعاً: صلة الرسول وأهل بيئته بالقرآن الكريم، خامساً: القرآن ُمثل عليا في خيال الشعراء، سادساً: القرآن نشيد سماوي للتحرر والوحدة.
