في الكتاب أربعة وعشرون قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث تكشف عن مشهدية شعرية تتكئ على التشكيل في بناه الجمالية والفنية والصورية عبر تداعيات الأنا الشاعرة. تحت عنوان "حيرة وعبث" يقول الشاعر: ترى/ أين تذهب النظرات/ عندما تنتهي من مهمتها؟/ العين/ دائماً/ مشغولة بنفسها/ مثل قط يلاحق ذيله/ ترى/ أين تذهب اللمسات/ حين يخفت بريقها؟/ الجلد/ لا تتسع/ ذاكرته/ لحياة كاملة/ من اللمسات(...)".
من عناوين القصائد نذكر: "القميص الأزرق"، "بضحكة واحدة"، قبلة في الكأس"، "أيها الرأي"، "فوق تلة عالية"، "الرائحة"... الخ.
