"النص المفتوح" كتاب يضمّ بين طياته تسع دراسات أدبية نقدية سعت لقراءة شعر الأديب اليمني "عبد العزيز المقالح" وذلك عبر تحليل دواوينه الشعرية التي تشهد على مواقفه الفكرية وإبداعه الشعري الفني، وعلى علاقة مادته الأدبية بالثقافة الفنية، ففي الدراسة الأولى تمّ تقديم رؤية داخلية في "قصيدة يمانية"، وهذه القصيدة هي عبارة عن حوارية عن الفقر... وفي الدراسة الثانية تمت قراءة قصيدة "غمدان: البحر والمطر" من ديوانه "الكتابة بسيف الثائر علي بن الفضل"، وفي الدراسة الثالثة تمّ تقديم قراءة لمقتطفات من قصيدة "من خطاب نوح بعد الطوفان" حيث تمّ تحليل بناء القصيدة وموضوعها.
وفي الدراسة الرابعة تمّ تقديم رواية نقدية لقصيدة "شجن" في محاولة لاصطناع لغة العلم المحددة وهو يتهاوى بين أزمة المنحى ومتناقضاته. أما الدراسة الخامسة فتناولت عبد الناصر منسوجاً في قصيدة الشاعر عبد العزيز المقالح فوق ضريح عبد الناصر ومن خلال القصيدة تمّ الإطلال على المفهوم القومي العربي الجديد في البحث. وكما وتمت تحليل الحركة الناصرية في قصيدتين هما قصيدة أدونيس مقدمة لتاريخ ملوك الطوائف وقصيدة للشاعر أحمد عبد المعطي حجازي "مرثية العمر الجميل". وفي الدراسة السادسة تمّ تقديم دراسة تحليلية متق
