"قصائد مدفوعة الثمن" ديوان شعري رائع يضم بين دفتيه سبعة عشر قصيدة بقلم الشاعر الأردني "أحمد صيتان الجراح" استخدم فيها الشاعر مقاربة (إجتماعية – نقدية) ينقل للقارىء من خلالها صوراً من هنا ومن هناك يتصدى فيها لأحوال الإنسان العربي المعاصر. وهي قصائد تجسد تجربة الشاعر في هذه الحياة بأسلوبه الخاص والمتفرد الخارج عن المألوف. هي خواطر مرهفة الإحساس، يلامس بها بشفافية أوجاع الناس، في الوطن، وفي الغربة، كتب عن المعلم، عن المرأة، وعن الهوى، ونداء إلى القابعين أمام المواقد ...
أما أجمل ما خص به مجموعته هذه فهو نداءه "إلى امرأة عراقية" يقول فيها: ، أحبك ... كزيف أطقها ، عراقية ... ، وكيف سأمزجُ العشقَ ، المصفى من خلاياهُ ، الجنونية .. ، أكاذيب وأقوال ، خرافية .. ، بأني جئت من بغداد ، للمنفى وراء جدائل سود ، طفولية (...)".
أما ما أراد أن يقوله هو كشاعر فقد عبّر عنه في قصيدة "جوع شاعر" يقول فيها: ، وإني أجوع لشعر طويلْ .. ، كجوع اليتامى لصدر جليلْ .. ، كجوع العراةِ لثوبٍ جميلْ .. ، كجوع الضمير لدمع يسيلْ .. ، وإني أجوعُ لشعر طويلْ .. ، يغطي عظامي عظام النحيلْ (...)".
وتأتي بقية القصائد بعناوين شتى منها سمراء، مدمن الشفتين، البحث عن المستحيلة، كرامة عاشق، امرأة ولكن، وصية أخيرة، هذي نذالة ... الخ.
