هذا الكتاب يمثل خلاصة أفكار المؤلف عن الحياة, بعد أن أمضى فيها أربعين سنة. فهو يقدم عدة نصائح وتوجيهات من الحياة على ضفاف الأربعين, حيث يلخص حياته ويقدمها للأولاده لتكون عبرة لهم على مر الأيام. حيث يقول هو من مواليد 1958 في قرية خربة غزالة, سهل حوران أم اليتامى, وهي مرابع العرب الغساسنة, وقد نشأ فيها وترعرع على الفطرة السليمة كغيره من أبناء هذه المنطقة. قضى 22 سنة من عمره في سورية, و12 سنة في الاتحاد السوفيتي, وفي عام 1991 حصل على شهادة دكتوراه من معهد كييف للبحث العلمي في الجراحة العصبية عن بحثه في الورم الوعائي الشبكي في المخيخ وجذع الدماغ. عمل سبع سنوات في مشفى راشد في دبي- دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. وله عدة بحوث تخصصية ومقالات وكتب مطبوعة.
