صنّف كثيرٌ من العارفين المرشدين ـ على اختلاف مدارسهم التربوية ـ كتباً مفرَدةً في آداب السير إلى الله، ما بين مختصر وبسيط ومنظوم ومنثور.
ومن المختصرات اللطيفة في هذا الموضوع هذه الرسالة التي بين يديك: «تحفة الإخوان في آداب أهل العرفان»، لمؤلفها الإمام العلامة الوليّ أبي البركات محمد بن أحمد الدردير المالكي رحمه الله تعالى، حرَّر فيها آداب السالك إلى الله تعالى، مع أستاذه في الطريق، ومع إخوانه السالكين، وفي خاصّة نفسه، ومع عامة الناس.
وبيّن فيها آداب الذكر وترتيب الأوراد في طريقتهم الخلوتية بالخصوص. ثم ذكر طرفاً من سيرة شيخه الذي تلقى عنه وسلك على يديه، وهو الإمام محمد بن سالم الحفني، ونقل نصّ إجازته له. ثم عطف بذكر سند الطريق مسلسلاً حتى حضرة صاحب الرسالة صلى الله عليه وآله وسلّم. وختم كتابه بفصلين لطيفين: فصلٍ في مراتب النفس، وآخر أخيرٍ في طائفةٍ من حِكَم العارفين. وقد ضمَّن كتابه هذا ـ على وجازته ـ عدداً من التنبيهات الدقيقة التي لا يستغني عن مثلها سائرٌ في طريق الله تعالى.
