لا الماء ماء.. ولا التراب بسملة.. لا ولا سفر التكوين بخور.. والكون شرنقة.. يا ماء الماء/ حيث تسيل الروح ويفترش التراب/ هناك/ حيث تحبس الشمس// رد لي ليالي وتصابيحي.. يا ماء الماء.. لا الماء ماء.. قاحلة هي الأعصر.. وعاقرة هي السحب.. أموت- بعد المدى.. أموت- أموت والمدى سفر.. هذه الكلمات جزء من قصيدة اختارها الشاعر كبداية لكتابه بالإضافة الى عدد من القصائد الجميلة وأهمها: امتداد المدى, بسمات من رماد, خارج الماء, سارية الحلم, ماء حتى المدى, ياكل الباقي, بخور دوموزي, بعيداً ما ت عنا المطر, ترنيمة الباقي, تموز في الوقت حي, حجارة بلا نهار, سفر الدوران, سهل مغلق خارج التراب, عرس من أول قطرة ماء, علامتي هي البداية, على دروب المدينة, غداً تكبر, لابسة النجوم.
