عندما بدأ البحث والتنقيب في الدراسات الخاصة بالمسجد الأقصى المبارك تحت عنوان (علوم المسجد الأقصى المبارك)، كانت الفكرة تقتضي تصنيف كتاب ميسر يعتبر مدخلاً إلى دراسة المسجد الأقصى المبارك، وبعد تنفيذ ذلك، برزت الحاجة لتصنيف مختصر مبسط جداً لعلوم ودراسة المسجد الأقصى المبارك يكون ميسراً بحيث يمكن قراءته والاطلاع عليه في وقت قصير وبسيط.
ولذلك جاء هذا الكتيب الصغير يبين خلاصة مادة مدخل دراسة المسجد الأقصى المبارك في نقاط مبسطة وميسرة وسهلة للقراء، ويمكّنهم من الاطلاع على أوليات وأساسيات هذه الدراسة في وقت قصير وبسيط بإذن الله رب العالمين.
ويأتي هذا الكتيب على شكل استعراض مبسط ومختصر لأساسيات دراسة المسجد الأقصى المبارك في نقاط مركزة، وقد قسم إلى ثلاثة أقسام أساسية على عادة كتاب المدخل إلى دراسة المسجد الأقصى المبارك: فالقسم الأول يتناول المفاهيم الأساسية للمسجد الأقصى المبارك، والقسم الثاني يتناول تاريخ المسجد الأقصى المبارك وبيت المقدس في نقاط مختصرة ومبسطة، ثم يأتي القسم الثالث ليتناول أساسيات مبدئية في مفاهيم الأقصى عند غير المسلمين، على أنه ينبغي التأكيد أن هذا الكتيب غير موجه للمختصين وإنما لعموم الجمهور الذي يرغب في معرفة أساسيات بسيطة حول هذه الدراسات.
