جامعة الجامعة لزبد رسائل إخوان الصفاء وخلان الوفاء في ماهية الموت والحياة، وما الحكماء ووجودهم في الدنيا عالم الكون والفساد؟... وما حقيقة المعاد؟...
والغرض المقصود منها هو البيان عن علة رباط الأنفس الناطقة وإتصالها بالأجسام والأشخاص الجزئية إلى وقت الموت، وكيفية الثواب والإستعداد قبل الموت، والإستعجال ما دام الخلاص ممكناً، وسبب النجاة معرضاً، وأجساد موجودة، وآلات متمكنة، وبذلك تكون مشتهية للموت والإلتجاء فيه، وإزالة الخوف والمسؤولية والتمني كما قال الله عزّ وجلّ: ﴿قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ هَادُوا إِنْ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ لِلَّهِ مِنْ دُونِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا الْمَوْتَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ ﴾.
وبتمني النفس الموت منها دونه، وتسليمها إليه جسدها إذا حل بها ونزل بساحتها، وترك إستعمالها، ووجودها، وبلوغها منتهاها وإنه لا سبيل لها إلى البقاء الدائم، أي لا يتغير ولا يزول إلا بمفارقة الجسد المستحيل الذي هو سبب الإنتقال والزوال، والتغير من حال إلى حال.
