إن الأمة قد أجمعت على صحة صحيح الإمام الموفق أبي عبد الله البخاري، وعلى جلالته ورفع درجته، وكان من أعظم الشروح عليه شرح الحافظ أحمد بن حجر العسقلاني، الذي سماه "فتح الباري بشرح صحيح البخاري" فقد أبدع فيه، ووُفق الجمع المتفرق من كلام العلماء السابقين في موضع واحد، حتى صار شرحه مُعوَّل العلماء ومرجع الطلاب ومقصد الباحثين.
ولم يعكر صفو ذلك سوى بعض المخالفات العقدية التي عظمت من مثل الحافظ الكبير ابن حجر العسقلاني، وأشغب بها عليه بعض الأغمار فطرحوا الإفادة من سفره النفيس هذا وأهملوه، وربما أهانوه!.
ولما كان سماحة شيخنا الشيخ / عبد العزيز بن عبد الله بن باز قد نبه على بعض تلك المؤاخذات في المجلدات الثلاثة الأولى، فزينت تعقباته حواشي الفتح، فحققت تمام الإفادة من شرح الحافظ الحافل مع عدم الإنسياق وراء تلك الإختيارات المخالفة لصحيح عقيدة أهل السنة والجماعة.
وتكرر الطلب مراراً على سماحته بإستئناف ما بدأ من ذلك، ولكن كثرة الشواغل والصوارف منعته من ذلك.
وقد رغبت إلى سماحته بذلك مراراً فأشار عليّ بالشروع في ذلك والعزم عليه، ثم عرض العمل على سماحة لينظر فيه، ولكنني هبت ذلك وأحجمت عنه في أول الامر لعظم الفتح وجلالته، ومكانة الحافظ وعلمه، ولكن شرح الله صدري لذلك بعد أمر سماحة الشيخ ثم الإستخارة، حتى عزمت على السير على منوال سماحة الشيخ في حواشيه بالإقتصار على موضع الملاحظة وبيان الخطأ فيها دون التوسع بجلب الأدلة وتحرير الدلالة منها على المقصود، وتنويع الدلائل عليها، إذ مظنة ذلك مطولات كتب العقيدة والردود على مخالفي منهج أهل السنة والجماعة، وهي مشهورة متداولة.
وأيضاً ليكون العمل على نسق واحد مع تعليقات سماحة شيخنا على المجلدات الثلاثة الأولى، فإن وفقت لذلك فذا هو المقصود وهو محض توفيق الله تعالى وهدايته وتسديده، وإن كانت الثانية فمن نفسي والشيطان، وأعوذ بالله منه ومن شر نفسي، وأستغفر الله العظيم من ذلك وأتوب إليه.
