يهدف هذا البحث إلى تبيان مفهوم التربية الترويحية في الإسلام، بعد استخلاصه من مفهومي: التربية والترويح في اللغة والإصطلاح، كما يبين حاجة الإنسان إلى الترويح في حياته اليومية المليئة بالعمل الجاد والهموم.
ويظهر البحث أهم الآثار الإيجابية للترويح، التي تنعكس على حياة الإنسان في كافة الجوانب: في النفس والمجتمع والاقتصاد والتربية والتعليم. كما يوضح البحث أهم أهداف التربية الترويحية في الإسلام، والتي تتمثل في: التربية الجهادية، والإيمانية، والتعليم وتنمية القدرات العقلية، وتحقيق التوازن.
ويهتم البحث بتفصيل الضوابط الشرعية للنشاط الترويحي، فقسمت إلى قسمين: الضوابط الشرعية المتعلقة بالنشاط الترويحي من حيث حكمه الشرعي: كالترويح المباح والمحرم. والضوابط الشرعية للأمور المتعلقة بالنشاط الترويحي التي تؤثر في حكمه، كاللباس والسلوكيات.
كما تناول البحث: المحاضن الرئيسة للتربية الترويحية، ودورها في تحقيق الأهداف المنشودة، وأهم أوجه النشاط من خلالها: كالأسرة، والمسجد، والمدرسة، والنادي، والدولة.
