لقد حرص المسلمون على حفظ القرآن وتفهم معانيه, كما حرصوا على العمل به والوقوف عند أحكامه, وبذل العلماء- قديماً وحديثاً- جهوداً مشكورة في خدمة كتاب الله عز وجل, تلاوة وتدبراً, تعلماً وتدريساً, تفسيراً وبياناً, تصنيفاًًً وتأليفاً, في نواح ٍمختلفة ومشارب متنوعة, فصنف العلماء في التفسير جيلاً بعد جيل, فكثرت كتب التفسير وتنوعت, وكان من بينها (أنوار الحقائق الربانية في تفسير اللطائف القرآنية) للأصفهاني, ومؤلف هذا التفسير من الأئمة الأعلام, فقد حفظ القرآن الكريم, والكثير من المتون في الفقه وأصوله, والنحو واللغة, والمنطق وعلم الكلام, وقد تميز تفسيره بقيمة علمية جامعة, متنوعة المباحث, مع حسن استفادته من مصادره التي رجع إليها في تصنيف كتابه. وفي هذا الكتاب بيان لحياة هذا الإمام المفسر الأصولي, ووقوف على سيرته لأخذ الدروس النيرة منها, حيث حرصه على طلب العلم ورحلته في ذلك, ثم الجلوس للتدريس والتعليم, وإفادة الأمة بمصنفاته النافعة المتنوعة مما يدل على سعة علمه. كما اشتمل هذا الكتاب على دراسة مطولة عن تفسيره (أنوار الحقائق الربانية في تفسير اللطائف القرآنية) فقد بذل جهده لاستيفاء عناصر هذه الدراسة والكتابة عنها, مع ضرب الأمثلة مما حققه من تفسيره وذلك من أول تفسير سورة الأتعام إلى آخر تفسير سورة الأعراف.
