جواد الأسدي مخرج ومؤلف مسرحي عراقي ولد في كربلاء، حاز عام 2004 على جائزة الأمير كلاوس للمسرح.
عمل لمدة 14 عاما مع المسرح الوطني الفلسطيني ولاحقا مع المعهد العلي للفنون المسرحية بدمشق.
أخرج العديد من الأعمال المسرحية.
حائز على جائزة الإبداع المسرحي، مؤسسة الفكر العربي، 2011.

نصوص مسرحية مرفوعة الى عري متششظي واستبسال في الحريق لإزاحة الستار عن مستقبل يحتشد ابطاله بالأقنعة واللبس وتدوين الألم باعتباره زهرة العالم وزهوه. شخصيات خشبة النص لا تيتقيم في شارع لأنها دائماً تتسلق السقوط من أجل الوصول للحظة الإنبهار بالعدم. تغرف النصوص وناس النصوص مما ينطوي على الفرق من شهية للعطش! الناس هنا يدربون لهاثهم على عطش حر ورغبة حبيسة تتعثر بخلاص شاقولي عبثي. نصوص جواد الأسدي هنا محاولة لثلم الخشبة، أو بالعكس تأتي الخشبة في موقع ثلم النصوص في تقبل خصب ومريب.
